Cat vs. snake: who's faster?

A cat can see a threat, decide and swat in a fraction of the time a snake needs to finish a strike. In slow motion, it's almost unfair. Pin the slithering snake before it slips away — exactly like a real cat would.

20–70msa cat's reaction & paw-strike
44–100msa snake's lunge to full strike
~250msa human's reaction, for scale

In a real stand-off a cat watches the snake's head, leans back out of range, then strikes — its nervous system can fire a paw in as little as 20 milliseconds, faster than the snake can complete its lunge. Add eyes built for tracking fast motion and near-360° whisker awareness, and the cat usually wins. (A venomous snake is still dangerous, so a real cat should never be encouraged to try.)

Game · A day in the life

A cat's day

Pick a cat. Live one full 24-hour cycle, one decision at a time — sleep, eat, hunt, cause a little chaos. At the end, watch the whole day play back as an animated recap.

Whose day is it?

Four household legends. Every one of them will make questionable choices with total confidence.
